looks killer, what method did you use to install the cab by yourself?

I had the cab on a jet ski cart. Put the two side by side then used two floor jacks on the outer side of the cab. One floor jack on the front inner side. Pushed it as close as I could next to the chassis then used 2by6's on top of the frame and slid the cab onto them. Once the frame was in place I took my single floor jack to the drivers side and jacked the cab up to get the wood out then raised the suspension up and lowered the jacks all without any damage. By my self.

I didn't want to do it but I want to be able to pull a car trailer and it's safer when the bags are over the axle vs cantilever

It is always a good feeling when they come alive. Sounds good. Congratulations! Like the Dakota Digital gauges too. Fast work!

Re: 1957 Chevy truck laying rockers NVR2OLD

nice. what radiator and fan did you go with? did you buy the adapter to plug into your computer to get all the readings from the engine for the Dakota digital?

I forget the name of the company I went with for the fan and rad, but it wasn't expensive. As far as the Dakota. It's super easy to hook up. I purchased a new wire harness for the truck from American auto wire. Most of all the wires I needed were pulled from that. No cutting or splicing. My engine harness was purchased from schwenkie engines and the left long leads for tach speedo. Pretty easy

Re: 1957 Chevy truck laying rockers NVR2OLD

Quick update. Half the ac is in. It steers and moves on its own power. It's been a brutal 2 weeks and will never do this again like this. I want to drive it to work on Monday. It's all registered and insured. The steering killed me today. I needed another d to d joint but made it work safely and effectively. Post pics tomm. I'm burnt!!!!
