Good to see you coming back into form, Paul! My wife caught the C on a quilting cruise a few weeks ago. She's still acting weird, but won't admit it.

A bunch of old biddies and their sewing machines? You can't be serious.

Conflict in scheduling. He was already booked on the crochet cruise

Paul, you've been around so long building codes have been adjusted to compensate.

I'm with ya there!
Not a guys cup of tea so to speak.
The women put that same attitude right up there with us wrenching on those old greasy, rusty, broken down, money pit trucks.

In defense of... have you ever been to Amish Country and seen some of those "Hand Sewn" quilts the women produce? Stunning works of art!

A life long buddy's wife has been "Quilting" many years, and just 6 months ago or so got a big $money$ computer controlled quilting machine/table. He has a shop/barn so he remodeled the garage attached to the house into a quilting room for her including HVAC.

I'll have to ask him if they have any "Quilting Cruises" planned?

Re: Cali Earthquake

I've never heard of a quilting cruise before. Cruise as in on a ship, right? My mom is in on a quilting group in her town, all gals! They meet once a week. She has always sewed, knitted, embroidered, including making quilts. It is the same type of thing for women to do as men getting together to build something. We're talking traditions here. I'm content with watching quilting cruise videos

Re: Cali Earthquake

Yup, on a cruise ship, untold hundreds of quilting people (even some guys). My wife has a room just for her quilting stuff, including a $15k sewing machine that can even scan a picture and then embroider it onto a piece of fabric. Unfortunately, she has to load the correct color thread.

I just made a rack for bobbins. She buys preloaded bobbins instead of wasting thread by winding them herself. But she couldn't see all the colors in the cardboard boxes. Now, they're stacked by color.

Roast prime rib and mashed taters tonight. And corn as a binder. That should help. Probably not.

How can something that tastes and smells so good going in smell so bad when it's heading the other direction? It's got me stumped?

Speaking of stumps... Eh. Never mind, I've told too many turd jokes already.

Ok, back tp quilting. () The group my mom is in all work together to make the same quilt by hand. Hand quilting is what I think of. I didn't realize there was a whole other element to quilting as a hobby. Ok. That used up all my interest in topic.......................... crickets...........................
