The top washer and adding 1 below will have the top of the bolt mounted Ridged. Then the rubber in-between the tank and bed will keep things from shifting and loosening.

I had some retaining nuts machined locally. This is the new retaining nut and one of my original bolts. Also, one of my original tank.

Not to raid your post- but how many gallons are these tanks? I plan on building something similar for my diesel conversion for both sides of the truck
