Stock ones on this old cream puff. Thinking of changing it to 22" transports with stock style chrome caps.

The two slots are 15x7 Western Wheel. Once I find another pair of the slots, I'll run those, but finding two more is my problem.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

Just installed today! 275/55-17 tires on a 17x9" wheel with 4.75" back space. The truck is dropped 4.25" in front and 6" in the rear. I was surprised to see how well everything fit. No rubbing issues so far with good (adequate) clearances. I'll post if I have a problem with rubbing while turning AND hitting a bump. But so far so good.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

mfm3, thanks for the props. I was pleasantly surprised at how well these tires squeezed in there.

rvfoot, I believe that is Glenwood Green. The truck was painted by a PO, but that color matches the firewall color (unpainted) very closely. As you suggested, it is maybe a tad darker.

I think the left side tires need a little air.

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

I have 6 inches to my inner fenders. If I figure 1/2" for the lip of the rim and 1" for tire clearance I would need a 4 1/2" backspacing. Im looking for a 9.5 or 10 inch rear wheel. All the backspacing is 5.5 or above. What are you guys doing with the 10 inch wheels? Spacers?

Re: 60-66 Tire/Wheel Pics

I did custom 4.5" backspacing for my 10" wide wheel as there are not many off the shelf wheels that come in 4.5" BS.

It will be very close to the inside fender lip, I did some trimming there just get a bit more clearance. 9.5" wide wheel would work well.

Even with a 9.5" wheel I am going to have to buy a wheel with 4.5" of back spacing or use 1" spacers in the rear.

Yes, I was not trying to imply you would not. As I was saying a 9.5" wheel will give a bit more room from the fender lip over the 10" wide wheel where it was pretty close (for me) with my 4.5" BS 10" wheel.
