I've always liked the Australian Holden Monaro HQ, (pictured below) but since I can't get one of them, I was thinking about a 1st Gen Nova

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!

I hope you at least broke even. (Sometimes I wish someone would "drive by" and purchase my panel. Unfortunately its just a shell, not a cool nearly finished ride like yours). Boy its gotta feel weird letting your truck go like that.

that's a shame. all of that work. i read that it happens a lot though. it's easy to understimate the time and money that it takes to do these things. better luck next time.

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!

It was looking so nice and seemed to be close to finished, surprised you sold it. Someone got a darn good start on a great truck. 1st gen Nova would be nice also.

Talking Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!

All right well I have to apologize, I was having some fun at your expense. I DID NOT SELL LEMON DROP. It was loaded up and taken to Sonoma County Hot Rods for some work. They are going to finish the Accuair suspension and electrical. Depending on the cash situation they may even get the engine running.

I tried the same joke on my wife and she got upset with me. As much as she would like to park in the garage, she know how much effort I put into the truck and she too wants to see it complete.

I should have some updates in a couple of weeks.

Once again I’m sorry if my joke was in poor taste.

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!

as a fellow LFD, build owner. I'm sure glad you didn't sell it. We have to complete the hard work that kevin started. My truck is in paint shop #2 (had to fire the first painter)..so hopefully i can start posting progress pics. best of luck and again, really glad the selling part was a joke!

I had a breif glance at yours, it looks good. I like the fat rear tires and the SF Giants symbol on the hood.

Once we are done with our trucks we will have to get the twin firewalls together. A nice road trip to So Cal would be nice.

Re: Project Lemon Drop: anything but stock!

I delivered some parts to Sonoma County Hot Rodz and snapped a couple of pictures. I forgot my camera and had to use my phone.

There is a picture of Lemon Drop next to fastwillie 696969's truck.

They completed the install in the Accuair system. It turns out that my positioning of the rear sensors was almost spot on. So they were able to use the brackets I made.
