Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
You will have to register at the show (they closed the online and mail in last Friday). All you have to do is go to the Hotel that is across from the track, fill out an entry form and hand the person your $40.00 bucks and you’re golden. It would be a good business opportunity to showcase your work and you can write it off.....

Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
ok, i loaded up and went to OKC and dynoed the 68SS......it was fun and got some decent, respectable #s.... but i was kinda expecting more (arnt we all ) it was 309 RWHP
all in all in turned out good, i can still roast the tires, and thats good enoght for me with this truck on the first dyno pull, i had the tranny over full and once he got on it, it started to puke fluid outta the vent tube on top of the tranny (thats the smoke you see towards the end of vid)... this truck is a bit loud so my camara kinda makes it sound raspy and choppy, but it sounds just plan mean in person, no raspy/choppy sound... Re: my official 68 shortstep ls1 thread (lots of pics)
getting a few small jobs finished up......got the pass. side inner fender back from powder coating and installed, also installed the windows (wing and main window)on the pass side......i also used sound deadener on the inside of the door before i installed the glass......i also got the rear bumper installed.......i know the engine compartment and truck are dirty as heck, and some bolts are rusty in the engine compartment (they will be replaced soon).... sitting on the coast of the gulf of mexico for a year didnt help....
