I haven't checked the MPG, because cool won't get you that far...

As far as new I do have a few things up my sleeve, but nothing to post about thus far. Hopefully after winter we'll have some updates for you.

Yeah, Nate's thread is very entertaining. He has a flare for introducing new mods to his beautiful truck. When I first got my truck and joined this forum, Nate and LowLife99 (Keith) were the first to welcome me to the board.
Nate and keith and many others have been a constant source of support for my own project. I would like to say "Surf Blue" is also a well done beautiful truck.

You ever get a 2004R tranny?

It's what I am thinking about doing as well since I FINALLY sold my 250ci/Powerglide.

Gotta say, this is my favorite truck. I appreciate the time you spend on here helping everyone out. The truck looks great, everything you did was tasteful, understated and just plain cool. I hope I look half as good driving around in my 72' as your buddy does sitting in yours.

I am a new guy here, but have had my '72 Suburban for almost 20 years now.

I read the entire thread and really enjoyed it. While my truck was never as nice as yours, you have inspired me greatly. Mine looks okay right now, but could really use an interior. It was blue before, had a wreck, and now it is red with a white top.

I gotta hand it to you, your truck looks great.

I already bought new 17" Racing Legend 6 Wheels from Summit Racing. After looking for countless hours at all the board members with 20" Vintec Wheels, I think I made a mistake. I think I will send them back and get Vintecs for my truck. Are your wheels the dished, or soft lip versions? Your Blank Slate Thread is costing me more money every day. I received my 4-6 drop and 6 lug disc brake conversion from ECE this week. I am looking forward to getting all this put on my truck. Another question for you is where did you buy your wheels? I have no idea how much these are going to run me. On the website it looks like I will be looking around $525 each. Thanks again for helping me spend my money.

Glad to hear it Scott. Keep at your Burb and you will not regret it. These trucks (incl. Blazers/Burbs) are classics and never go out of style. Keep us posted on your progress.

My wheels are the soft lip version. You will love the 4/6 ECE drop as it has a smooth and clean ride.

As for the wheels I found a good buddy that was able to order the wheels through his supplier, that way I could ensure the wheels would be order according to my specs.

Check out Newstalgia Wheel as they are an online supplier for Billet Specialties.

Be sure to start on a build thread so we can see your progress.
