My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

My 86 K30 and 86 GMC 2500 in chevy trim.
Its too bad they never made 8 lug sport/rally wheels for these trucks.

Nice truck! They had some that came on dodges, just throw some 88+ center caps on them and call it good.

Thanks, a lot of work went into the blue one.
I'll have to look for those wheels, pretty good idea.

I agree with 68Bowtie - nice looking truck with that wheel change. Curious if the spid is still readable and what that paint color is? Did you already own the 4 stainless caps or if not where did you find them?

I agree. Our trucks are OLD! They are supposed to have OLD looking wheels and caps. Everybody and their brother has bling bling wheels on everything from Astros to Yugos. Who wants that...being like everyone else trying to be different by some kind of blingier (it's a word) wheels than the other guy that don't really fit with the overall look of the truck.

I will throw mine up here, wheels are from a mid '80 van, 15x8. I painted them and cleaned up the beauty bands and centers.

The spid is painted over, but the truck was originally the dark turquoise color. The firewall is still the original color. It was painted dark green some years back, and I doubt the PO was too concerned with matching an OEM color--it's just green!

I already had those caps. I have picked up one more since, and I hope to get 3 more during this swap meet season!

Be careful! hubcap hoarding can lead to whole truck hoarding.

At the sand dunes this weekend.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

Yeah--I started as a kid on AMT 1/25 scale models, but soon I needed more. I needed the smell of oil and gasoline--I moved on to the hard stuff; Briggs & Strattons and centrifugal clutches--and I was on the street. Now I'm a total junkie--bumpers, fenders, I'll even scrounge for the odd vinyl and plastic parts if I have to! It's a mental illness! I need help!

BTW---those steelies are actually factory wheels off a 70's J10 Jeep. I think they're 7"; I'll have to measure next time I have one broken down.

Thx for the compliment! I'm Jonesin' for another inch (like every guy), and a stance like yours. I'm diggin' the look!
