Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Nothing to do with my truck, but I thought this art work was worth the share. There is a bike shop call Twisted Image Cycles in town that build some pretty bad baggers and this is the air brush work on their latest bikes, the detail is incredible. If you have facebook check out their page.

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

Great news on the updates. Can't wait to see the rolling chassis!

I've always wondered how much rust it would take to destroy one of those vented rotors. My Suburban has the same style. I replaced the rear rotors last month because the ribs in between the plates were so rusted. Now I'm glad I did! Glad you had a happy ending to your story, though.

Chad

Thanks guys! and yes Chad it finally went and I would recommend changing them if they're in doubt! to anyone and of course no one had one in stock for a 45 mile radius, it all worked out though!

Re: Project: "just a little rust repair, turned LS2 swap"

I stopped by the paint shop this evening and Steve the painter is laying down some extremely nice paint! He's got the inside of the cab, front fenders, hood, core support, front inner fenders, doors and cowl painted. It's coming right along, I can't wait to get it all back and start on the assembly of everything. He's leaving for vacation tomorrow though so it's all going on hold for a week, which will give me time to play catch up on my end.
