Since ive been moving, etc. i havent had much time to do anything but find a bunch of parts i was looking for..lol i lost my drivers mirror for about 3 months..found it!! and to believe what tools you find when you dont put them back up..heres a pic of what was laying on the floor, under the hood, under the truck.....

I guess that is one good thing about having no garage to work in. I have to put all the tools away every time I am finished for the day.

oh believe me, I WANT TO SO BAD!! but i need some help. moving it to this unit and paying to have it moved set me back over 500 bucks. i talked to a guy here in conroe about stripping and phosphating the parts, but he wants 400 to do it. yikes....lol

Just because i found 95% of my tools doesnt mean theyre organized....gonna try and do that tomorrow tho.

ya but do you know if they have to be altered before paint? like for alignment etc?

From everything I have read about their parts they are top notch and should fit like stock. Still I think just to be safe I would fit everything together first before blowing it apart for paint. Nothing worse than having to grind away at fresh paint to make something fit.

heres what you call a "update"...a new home for the time being. Britt said that it cant go in her garage until it will run under its own power and can be able to move it in/out of the garage with out pushing...aka, almost completely done...bummer. so if anyone wants to help get this achieved, like finding a tailgate, getting the bed ready...dont be shy to jump in.

only problem i see with the tailgate is the small dent under the C and H. other than that this thing is b-utiful...!!! no rust or pitting anywhere....!!!

You suck Great find. I wish I could find one that nice.

Take a look at the 88-98 truck gas doors. They look to have the right curve to them so they follow the contour of our quarter panels and are round so they fit the look of our trucks pretty well.

I think so. I will see if I can dig out the one I have and check it out with my stepside. I got it for my fleetside but I think it will work for both.
