That had me going for a while, an "Inflation fighter special?"
I kept staring at the tires.

Re: Vintage picture thread

Inflation Fighter package was a special option grouping on a the custom trim level at a special lowered price. The word "Inflation" had become a catch phrase at this time. It's the time when Coke and candy bars stopped being $.10 like they had been forever and penny candy started costing $.2

Staying within the 67-72 topic... Nice!

The previous owner of my blazer sent me this not to long ago. He said it was around 84. I thought it was cool to see it back in the day.

x 10 ^^^

While every vintage picture in this thread is a pleasure to view, it is a '67-72 GM Truck vintage picture thread". If this gets people pulling up other great old vehicle pictures that's fantastic. That's how it works on me. Someone should start the same kind of thread in General Discussion so we can all share the "other" pictures

I came across this doing work research this week. That's a "Bechtel" logo on the door. Taken around 1970-71.

This was likely taken by the first owner as he showed it off to his brother-in-law & wife (pictured).

Re: Vintage picture thread

Hello, old thread!
Just scanned a bunch of old pics. This was my baby; medium olive '71 K10 that I painted yellow when the rust needed fixing. Dumb move but I was a punk kid. I owned the truck from '81 'til '07.

Now, now nothing wrong with yellow. I do wonder after that many years why did you sell it?

As a daily driver in Utah, the salt eventually won the war and since I no longer had a big enough garage to do a frame-off resto, it went to another K10 lover. I paid $3,200 for it in '81 and sold it for $3,500 with documented 228k miles on it.
I'll own another one someday.
