Re: Project: 19fn68

Picked up a 327 this afternoon. 170K original miles out of a '68 Camaro (numbers matching car). $400 for this and it's now time for the strip down.

Re: Project: 19fn68

Someone gave me a 327 block with a steel crank a while back. Good luck with that. I would love to build mine.

Re: Project: 19fn68

I'd love that blaster adapter! I need more info.

The guy decided to turn his Camaro into a "Pro-Touring" car. I'm really excited about the 327, my dad had one in his '40 Chevy coupe and it scooted. Quick pop out of the hole without having to rev the crap out of it for the power ban. Pics to come. First step is getting it cleaned and magged.

Re: Project: 19fn68

That is one sweet 68. I see you convince the future wife that two trucks is better than one. Billie Jean is cute. I had a chocolate lab (Maximus). He tore up the backyard. He needed more attention and room. Gave him to a rancher friend with 250 acres of almonds. He's happier now.

Re: Project: 19fn68

I can relate to that getting married thing and paying for a wedding......and trying to get the truck done at the same time.....just not happening! Doing the deed (hitched) up in Tahoe next week 7-7-7 and hopefully the fires have calmed down by then.

Gotta love labs....I gotta 1 year old Black and they just love tearing crap up.....and he gets tons of attention and a couple trips a week to the American River.

Nice 68 project.....I had a 68 Camaro with a 327....great little motors. Looks like you are in my neck of the woods and thought I would say Hey.

sorry...thought you had mentioned in the thread that grill and some other parts being for sale, since you bought another truck.

Re: Project: 19fn68

Did you move to Canada from Bakersfield?

I'm working on the bed right now. The motor is at a friend's shop, won't have pics for a couple of weeks.

Re: Project: 19fn68

Nice build, about that power washer sand blasting attachment heard it works good on frames but its a little tough on body panels, if you try it let me know how things turn out

Re: Project: 19fn68

The best thing about them is no need for a shop to to it in, no mask needed, no dust in the air, and no problems with enviroment, all the sand falls right below the truck sweep it up when it dries and reuse

30 yards filled, another 25 to go. 145 8" keystone blocks down, another 85 to go. My back and checkbook are shot.
