Killer car crawdad.

Where did you mount the compressor?

And the motor says 140... Is that what's in the car? I'm not familiar with the belair's.

Re: 61 Bel Air Flat Top

The compressor is mounted in front of the tank and both are on a carpeted board to keep from drilling eight extra holes in the car. The Blue Flame 140 is the horsepower rating out of 235 cubic inches. Don't sound like a lot of power for a 3400 lb. big car but 75-80 is no problem at all. Looks like you will see it in person in a week or so!

Can't wait to see it.

Trying to look at a car on an iPhone proves to be more difficult than one expects. I knew 140 wasn't righ for a motor just couldn't make it out. Age is catching up.

Is that a manual air setup or did you run a valve block?

Re: 61 Bel Air Flat Top

Crawdad,... it was great seeing you today, drinking a few beers, catching up, and talking cars and trucks.
Thanks for the sweet deal on your '61.
I love these old cars, especially when you work your magic on them.
This one is a "keeper" for me.

Also a special thanks to member hot trux for making the trip possible, with his burb and trailer.
I owe you for your long day of driving.

Have you been able to sleep in the house with that car in the garage? I think I would have to pull out a cot for the first few nights. What a wonderful car.
