Triplus makes really nice rockers. They are actually slightly thicker than NOS rockers as confirmed by a couple of the vendors on here. I can't guarantee they will fit perfectly, but the last cab I repaired we put them on and they almost popped into place when we got them into position. We had to do no adjustment and the doors fit on the cab perfectly.
Thanks for the info, I just found GMC Paul He says his are equal to GM, 19 gauge. Do you know if hes reputable?

Nice progress. It's a good idea to keep the frame as some states check the vins on the frame from what I've heard....

And plus....now you can sell the other shortened frame if you wanted to

Thanks, Yeah its a new process 833 If I remember right, with an overdrive. Should make it drive nicer than the stock LOW gear trans.

No Problem. Actually I believe it came out of an early 80s 2 wheel drive Chevy Diesel. When I got it on a local classified ad it was already out. The problem with these transmissions are that they have a special bell housing. So if you get one then you need to make sure the bell housing is coming with it. I had to hunt for months for mine. Really its a lot like a muscle car trans. Also if you set out looking for one the steel case is the one that you want. Not the aluminum one. The steel one I guess is really tough but not the aluminum one. I would just do a Google search on it see what you can find. The Price was right, I believe including the bell housing I am into mine 150 Bucks, and that's not bad.

Did a search and found the article I read before I bought mine
