Re: Guaging Interest

I hope these are right. The packing slip says thy-323y-c 67-72 gm c10 ls-swap headers. Is that what it is supposed to say?

Re: Guaging Interest

looking at your 1st pic....I'd say yes....those mounts look like they have the motor a bit forward. looking at it imagine the sbc mounts further forward on longer LSx brackets/plates...the motor would be further back.

U will be glad they redesigned them, the original 1 5/8" dumped right at the trans and made for little to no clearance to hook up the trans 'stuff'

And the 323Y-C is the correct part number.

As for the adaptor mounts that everyone can use; make sure they are put on correctly. I made that mistake and headers would not fit and I got really discouraged but in the end I realized I had the adaptor plates on incorrectly- as seen in this pic *NOTE: The adaptor plate is on WRONG*

This looks eerily similar to the issue I was having. Using those adapter plates, I had to use the rear 6 cyl mounting holes for the perches, and my headers were hitting the perches. I recently found some stock and made some new adapter plates that should allow me to move the perches to the front holes and keep the engine roughly in the same location as your pic. I used info from this post and created some plates that resemble #1. Unfortunately, I haven't installed them yet, so I can't say for sure it's going to work out just perfect. Hope this helps.

Re: Guaging Interest

These headers are very nice IMHO. Take a look at the DT vs Sanderson LS10's.

Thanks a million Shon!

Re: Guaging Interest

Craig and others, if you wanted a little more space btwn the tube and coil you can get a longer bolt and a 'spacer' to get the tube away from all that slightly.
I did this on the coupe, I can post pic if you wanted. I had some various bolts sitting around and some misc 'spacers' I had from another venture and it worked..

Re: Guaging Interest

I have my coils on the rear of my heads and wanted to rout my wires down using 90 degree plug boots and behind the headers against block and up to my coils. Hard to tell in epics but you guys think there is enough space to do so between tubes and engine?

The issue is on the passenger side. The rear tube hits on the firewall.

Re: Guaging Interest

Got mine istalled to day. If you have the dirtydingo adjustable mounts in a 73-87 make sure you have motor really far forward. I had mine guite a bit back and they hit firewall. Slid motor forward and adjusted pinch weld and they fit pretty good. Driver side fits like a glove. Passenger side i never want to do plugs again.....

Re: Guaging Interest

SHON; do you have any of these DT 323Y-C headers in stock. If so I will take a set.

Thanks,
Robert

Re: Guaging Interest

That sounds good, do you know when they would ship out? And do I order them through your web site or can I call to order them?

Thanks,
Robert

Order thru my site, it takes PP or CC (even if you do not have a PP acct) and you get an order number/etc.
They would ship out by Monday, if we get the order early enough they might go today but within 24hrs of purchase they should go out if not on the weekend or holiday.
IF they happened to have sold alll 5 within the past 3 days I will get an ETA on a new batch being ready....

Thank you for the quick response I will go to your web site and order them right after this post. Also I have read that the DT 324Y-C headers fit the same years, can you get these? If by chance they are gone, can you another header that fits that fits the same years? If not an ETA would work.

Thanks again,
Robert
