Looks sooooo nice! I especially like seeing the structure that holds up the bed. One question...on the bed structure, there are plates that attach to the inner bedsides. Are those welded on?

Yes they are, they are only about a 1/16th of an inch thick but they distribute the load over the size of the plate instead of just where the square tube is. This way the square tube will not just tear through after the stock sheet metal has fatigued. The bed structure still has a few more bars to go in but it is already very sturdy.

Yes, I finally got all of my clients work knocked out and I have been going full swing on the truck. I will post some progress pics later tonight. I had to go "junk yarding" yesterday to find a rear end for a future "hot rod" project. I came back with a 1957 olds rear end, the king, now all I need to find is a posi unit for this, 29 spline axles. I think posi's only came in 1958 rears for 29 splines, anyone have one for sale?

Sweet looking truck! I like the black wheels alot! A patina'd classic truck with c4 suspension sounds like a sick and fun truck! Keep up the great work!!!

Here are the pics as promised. I know it does not look like a lot has been done but what is left is all small tedious task.

They are centerlines. They come polished and I decided that I wanted them powdercoated gloss black instead. So I sent a flawless set of never mounted polished wheels out to my guy to powdercoat them. I had several people tell me that it took balls to do this but it was easy as it was the look I wanted.

Re: OG 66 C-10 Custom

I ordered some headers the other day off of the ebay and wanted to give everyone a heads up. I paid $180 shipped for a ceramic coated set of headers and they fit like they were made for the truck. I will take some pics and post them tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for the props. Matt

P.S. With my extremely lowered C-10 the headers with reduced collectors are still above the bottom of the frame rail but I am also running a dropmember...thanks Nate!

No, I still need to plumb the trans and engine, I have been running brake lines but still need to get a driveshaft made and a 4 wheel alignment. I do not want to trailer it out there and my plans are to have it at Goodguy's in October. If you want to see it call me when you are in town and you can come by and check it out. 512-484-0163 Matt

Do you think the good fitment of these will be the same for the 67-72? Lets see pics!

Re: OG 66 C-10 Custom

Since the front frames are the same on the 63-72 trucks (except for the horns for the bumper mounts), the fit should be the same. I had looked at these same ones for my stock truck, but have not gotten that far.

Re: OG 66 C-10 Custom

Pipeworx,

thanks for the header info. I just looked that ebay seller up and they had another set listed, so I went ahead and bought a set for mine for my 64. My center dump block header I have had for a few years new in the box would not work with by dropmember either.

trucks looking good. can't wait to see it in person. I will be looking for you at good guys
