Mike here's a picture of the new front radiator support. The radiator sits at an angle to clear the steering box because of the Z'd front end.

Installed a jeep cherokee steering u joint to get rid of the original S10 ragjoint and a ZQ8 quick ratio steering box.

Had to relocate front shocks. Fabbed these up using S10 front shocks, 3/8" angle iron and relocated the location out towards the wheel on the lower control arms. Clears wheels and tires for full lock to lock turning radius.

looking good man, hey btw your pic assuming there was one, on post 53 never loaded. about the shock mount you made. I'm getting very close to having my next project bagged, gonna prolly fab my own mounts too. Seem pretty basic, but I'd def like to see where you got them for full turn. What route did you go with the LS harness? Will be doing one of them too.

Kdog, can you tell me how you like that air cleaner? I want to go with that style from S&P but I read over on ls1tech that guys have had troubles with those air cleaners due to the lack of space around the MAF. I'd like to hear your opinion on it.

Youngrodder. Awesome truck, nice work. An electrode from one of the Bosch spark plugs in the first LS1 i had in my truck ended up breaking off, falling into the cylinder and destroyed the piston head. Long story short, I found a crate LS6 engine, swapped it, and love it. Really love it especially with the 6 speed. It's alot of fun.

Wiring harness: standalone Summit Racing '99-'02 f-body, 0411 service code PCM, ditched the DBW for cable driven throttle body, tuned the PCM with HPTuners base f-body tune, copy and pasted LS6 GTO tables. Runs awesome.

I had two problems with the wiring harness. First, the relays were wired incorrectly. There should have been 4 pin relays with constant 12v to the pcm, instead they had 5 pin relays which switched 12v off with the key in the on position. Second problem was the driver side injector harness female plug for 12v to the coils. The female was opened up like someone jammed a meter into it, enlarging it so the male side wasn't making contact. Annoying fixes, and time consuming trouble shooting.

The air cleaner from S&P was the only way i could go. It's the smallest air cleaner i think it's 1 7/8" and it's probably too small for the engine. Next time, the radiator and elec fan will be mounted down lower so I can get at least a 90 degree 4" elbow on the TB. I'm running a '65 mustang radiator with inlet / outlet on the passenger side. The engine bays in these trucks is really tight. If you look closely, the air cleaner assembly is tilted a bit to avoid the upper radiator hose. I may come up with an alternative to this over the winter.

I love your truck and im In the process of building my truck. My friend has a set of 22" and 20" i might pick up for my truck.. I was thinking of moving my rear fender up to the rail to be able to lay lower in the rear. Did you look at other ways of getting the rear lower?

The fender bolts to the bed and you'll need to modify the flange that surrounds the rear fender in order to get the truck to lay running boards. I think i'm running a 30 profile rear tire (which is a little too skinny) and have probably another inch to go when it's aired out before I hit the rear fender flange.

I kept the truck body as stock as possible and I like Chevy's original lines. I've seen other's modify rear fenders and running boards and beds but the lines just don't look right imho.
