Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Re: Survey- For those of you laying frame, how tall are your front tires

Excellent job!
How much backspacing is required on a 20x8, 20x8.5, or 22x8.5 inch wheel to get the "entire tire" inside this step in the wheel tub?

I know on member Supeflysteiny's thread,... he is trimming the inside lip of the hood to clear his tires.
This is the only area I am worried about.
(comparison pic from n2billet's truck)

Also,... let me know when you have a set ready to sell.
I'm probably going to need to purchase a set.

Re: Survey- For those of you laying frame, how tall are your front tires

that is a question i am not sure how to answer there is going to be so many variances....example if you are running stock with drum brakes, or if you are running a Dropmember, or if you are running disc brakes (it will be wider), or if you are running CPP's SOS spindles....there are so many combinations of front stuff that i dont know how to answer this. Here is my solution as soon as i get a set of the LOW HUMP'S produced i will take a set of them and start the modifications for the HIGH HUMP version on this set , the area you are concerned with will be taken away and hood trimming will be Necessary as my intentions are for this set to clear up to 31 inch tall combinations with pretty much any back space combination.. i guess what i will do is when i get the first set of these produced i will get them bolted up on my truck with my wheels and tires and do the measurements and let everyone go from there !! it would be very easy to modify this area if you wanted to trim your hood i just wanted to make this first set like i had intended for my truck not to have to modify the hood at all ......... i hope that kind of answers your question , Thanks Mike

Re: Survey- For those of you laying frame, how tall are your front tires

VERY nice!
Can you make a template for the fender?
(to show the exact area that has to be trimmed on each side?)
I can wait to see the first set out of the mold.

Re: Survey- For those of you laying frame, how tall are your front tires

PLEASE DO , i Love your truck and i would make me proud to see my fenders in it !!....i hope these fill a need for alot of people that are in my situation.. i wanted something to keep the water out of the engine compartment without compromising the look under the hood and something that would bolt into the factory bolt holes !!
