I could probably stuff some 38s, but being a texan I personally like stupid huge mud trucks

Re: 84 k10 GMC swb, "Big Red"

I decided my swb needed a new look, so after some rattle cans I came up with this...

Before

During

after

Best thing about this paint job is that touch ups are easy, and if I scratch it up, it doesnt matter

let me know what yall think

Cool Re: 84 k10 GMC swb, "Big Red"

Not bad for a rattle-can job, I plan on the same thing for mine when it's ready.

Any suggestions for brake lines on the front? I like cheap. Its just a mud truck.

Hey im in the process of putting a 4 inch lift on my 86 and i cant seem to get the steering arm off of the axel. i got all 3 bolts out but the steering arm wont even budge. Did you have any problems with yours or did is just come right off?

Re: 84 k10 GMC swb, "Big Red"

It was a PITA. did you get the cone washers out underneath the nuts? On mine I soaked then in brake fluid, drove it around in the yard, then took a 4 pound sledge and beat the arm down until the cone washers loosened. Its the only way lol

Re: 84 k10 GMC swb, "Big Red"

I would fly grayharville to Viginia to do it. We both have that same lift. I couldn't get mine loose. He worked his greasy chinken fingers on mine. He's like only 17 I think, works for chicken.

I would have done that but i already ripped the axels off the truck. With about 12345435 hits with a sledge hammer all 3 cone washers popped out, and the steering arm. I was worried about the threads but they were still perfect. Thanks again, and you definitely got a great looking truck.
