i made a template for the notch to see how big i was gonna go and i got my notches all cut....

is gonna be a pita to get the welds inside the frame lol im gonna have to cut a little more from the top so i can get the torch in there and than brace it really good....

lol... yes this last weekend i got both of notches all welded up..... and i also welded up a cross bar to tie in the notches together here are some pics....

just in case some of you are wondering how the notches got welded basically the center section didn't get cut until the red lines and blue lines were fully welded so it could support the frame the blue represents the other side of the frame as if you were standing between the frame rails and the black was the last thing that got welded once the center section was cut and it was braced from the top of the frame.... and of course the yellow lines is the section that was cut off...

are you talking about the rear set up? most likely we gonna run the bags where the stock springs go and weld bag plates up and down and make sure we center the bag to keep the trailing arm twisting to a minimun, modify the track bar, put some longer u bolts and we gonna add a 2 inch lowering block...

need to update this thread..... here is the progress that was done this week a couple hrs each day after getting off work that's all i get since once it gets dark we stop i dont want to disturb the neighbors but thursday and friday my days off we went to town and got some serious work done.... pics coming up

he decided he wanted me to run the bags on the trailing arms where the stock spring goes and just add the lowering blocks to the rear axle which he's gonna do on his own time and he finally order the ubolts btw so here is what was done i welded some upper and lower round plates to center the bags i used the same bolt hole on the trailing arm from the factory..... also got a five gallon air tank...

we got the track bar modified and enlarged it a little bit and and all the air ride stuff installed i asked him what he wanted to do with the bed floor and he said cut the center section he said he wanted to have access to the air ride stuff in case he need it to repair/ replace anything so i said ok..... here are some pics of the truck on the street...
