Got the back driveshaft built, tail lights filled in on the flatbed, new wiring ran for the new led tails, carrier bearing X member built, tranny hump installed, new battery cables made and installed, battery trays put in and battery's in, gotta put in the grill, headlights, and front seat tomorrow and a tad bit of wiring and we are hitting the road.

Thanks everyone! Glad to be able to drive it. Two things it needs as soon as I can. Crossover steering and a 1 piece rear driveshaft. Got some vibrations. Cruising 80mph currently like a dream, engine is a little louder than I want in cab.

Will do pump tuning first chance I get, he351 cleans the smoke up real well under boost, getting 30-32# currently.

I cannot believe give wonderful it rides, so plush and smooth.

Pulled over to retorts my lug nuts, noticed I'm pushing fluid out the overflow on my t case. I added two quarts and extended the line from under the cab to half way up the back of the cab. Will check it again in 30 miles. May have to move it on the tcase. Drilled the new one in in a crappy spot it seems.

Arrived at the destination! 589 miles today, 28 gallons of fuel and mileage gps verified

I am absolutely stoked. From my house to the destination is all up hill and completely thrue the rocket mountains, and I still pulled 21mpg. Absolutely astonished. 7* grades 75mph in OD running 800*, I am absolutely in love

Going to order the parts to build my crossover steering kit, cost me about $130, going to build a new back driveshaft. 4" and 1410 joints $250. Then I'll be content with the truck lol

This truck is awesome! I have been watching it on facebook. I am building the 6.5 TD crew cab that I converted to 4x4.

Any ideas on length of driveshaft once short bed? I have a 1 pc that may work, or at least it looks like it would but I pulled drivetrain out and cant measure. My cherry picker is at my friends shop.

Thank you! I agree I love it haha! I'm a big fan of the 6.2/6.5 aswell, I put two 6.2's in two different camaros and a 6.5 fuel mizer in a 97 s10 blazer lol!

As for the driveshaft I'm not sure I could be of much help, my Dana 70 has like an 1.5" longer pinion than my 14 bolt, aswell as my tcase is a 241dhd, so I'm not sure I could get you when close lol

The charge ports turned out nice and clean. It does look muck better with a bumper. I do think a heavy steel bumper would look good on there. It would tie in with the flat bed.

Thanks! I agree, a custom bumper is definitely on my list for future upgrades, these trucks are very difficult to find a good looking aftermarket front bumper for.

Ordered these yesterday, along with my 4" X 1410 .083 yokes! Also picked up my TRE's and new gas magnum shocksI for the rear, and then comfy new wheel!

Also, ran into this older gentleman, 90 12v swap, was done in 92', claimed 950,000 miles on her!
