No... this truck will stay as close to stock as it can get. A/C would be a great option, but just not an option for this truck.

I think your missus has missed her calling Nate, I think perhaps a little home spun industry knocking out kids costumes for halloween and the like might be in order???
Nice pics mate, thanks for sharing.

Re: Project: Blank Slate

I absolutely love your truck! I have a 71 that was originally medium green and white that I have had since 1993. In 2005 I painted it a more modern green that I promptly decided it was a big mistake. I am going to start a restoration project late summer and have been debating on the color between the original color, red and white or solid dark blue. After seeing your truck on the cover of LMC I am hooked on the green with the white along the bottom. I never really thought about it this way even though I have a 72 Suburban that is that color scheme, although different colors.

Re: Project: Blank Slate

Thanks MA71!

To be honest, my old '72 was a variation this color originally but when I proposed painting it light green, my wife cringed at the idea.

When we found this, lowered it and added the wheels, that was all it took to convince her the color was amazing. Haha!

Keep us posted on your progress.

Re: Project: Blank Slate

So the truck was a different color green? What made you decide the color that you picked? It seemed like when my truck was the original color I did not like it because it seemed like to much of that color green. I like the white along the bottom because it does not seem like the green over powers the truck.
I am just really glad I saw the photos of your truck....you have made up my mind on the color. But I have to add that my wife was against any color but the original medium green.
Attached are photos of the truck currently and one from 1994.

I like the blue and white you have it painted now, why change?
