Mr Bob has passed away, and my husband is helping his wife sell his old pickup. He bought it new from Modern Auto in Washington Mo, and then drove it to work in Saint Louis as a Union carpenter. He used it for awhile as a work truck, then retired it in the 80s. At that point he had some low rust repaired with GM sheet metal, and the exterior was then resprayed the factory white. Under hood, and in the cab remain original except a recovered seat, and a new shiny water pump. Truck has the original 350 motor with a 350 turbo trans. Smokes a bit when you first start it, but again, it’s a 68 that’s never been rebuilt! It is an AC truck with power steering but no power brakes. 2 wheel drive long bed. Good old truck with some minor dents and dings here and there. No tire kickers, time wasters, or picture collectors please. Look up recent sales on these trucks, if you think this price is too high. |
