Re: My Pro Street '56 GMC Pick'em Up

Progress on the truck still in slow motion due to family stuff & other projects. Ran into some issues with my '67 El Camino project and trying to get that sorted out as well. More photos to come of the current projects & stuff waiting to get worked on and progress shots of a couple wild rides of some friends trucks.

U HAVE GOT TO SEE THESE RIDES !! I got more project photos and friends project pics coming but I had to share some of these way out Chevy trucks. Sometimes you just have to see what other folks are doing to give you ideas or just to encourage you to keep on keepin' on.

gota say ... when i saw you cutting out the stamped tread in the step ... i made weird scrunchy faces at the screen. HOWEVER, the picture in paint is worth 1000 words and it's perfect on your build. well played.

Re: My Pro Street '56 GMC Pick'em Up

OK I'm done. Well you're really never done you always find more to do. I need to finish color sanding put the hood on it and install a new 4 Point Harness 2" width seatbelt / shoulder harness set. I will explain more later about the seat belt redo a little later. I will post more photos hopefully soon after seat belt and hood install. AND I will post a few photos of my latest project that I will be spending a lot of time on, my 496 Blown '67 El Camino. That project will be transferred over to Alternate Tinkerings here on 67-72 Chevy Trucks.

So here's my final changes to the truck leading up to the completed project. HAHAHA to me it's completed coz I'm driving with working lights and turn signals. It was a little nerve racking driving it without a front end and the only lights that functioned were the brake lights and trying to get back home before dusk.

So without further ado here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

The last photo is my friend Donnie, doing a walk around of my truck. Now the next set of photos are of his latest project, Donnie's LS1 powered '73 Porche 914. He still has his Big Block Chevy powered '57 Chevy truck but he will finish that project at a later date, and I'll put some update photos of his 496 powered '55 Bel Air later

Re: My Pro Street '56 GMC Pick'em Up

I like the 55 well enough but something about the Porsche leaves me tingly below the belt buckle. I love the odd cars. The stranger the better. I usually walk past the stock mustangs and chevelles at car shows. But an LS3 blown Fiero or a rotary Mazda engine in an Austin Healy Sprite? Awesome.

You aren't the only one, at some of the local cruise nights the reaction to his Porsche is usually people walk right past it, then they do a double take and say "WHAT THE..... HEY HOW'D YOU DO THAT? Or when he drives by they are wondering where is that rumbling sound coming from

Thanks for droppin' by OKGMC4
