Thanks Chris, there was many days even years that I thought how and when will it ever be done. Truth be known it's still not completely done but I can drive it anytime I want so maybe it is . Keep at it the day will come!

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Well the wedding this weekend was a great success. Never seen two more happier kids.

The truck was a huge success as well, when I pulled up the photographer asked me how long would the truck be there and I told him all night, he said well this is a game changer. Took hundreds of pictures with the Bride and Groom in the bed of the truck.

Will have better pictures later and a video of us leaving the wedding.

The kids decided I should drive and they would sit on the tailgate!!!!!

IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Too cool! Congrats to them both & to you for getting the truck "done" in time. Hope those sparklers didn't get too close.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

My brain is tired, need some help.

So I have installed a radiator from Entropy, their LSX version with dual fans and two speed controller.

Original ECM thermostat is in the drivers side of the block, Dakota Digital Temp unit is in the passenger side of the block.

The radiator came with another thermostat with absolutely no markings. If I splice the fan controller temperature units wiring into the ECM unit the truck will not start.

I have not tried to splice it into the Dakota Digital Temp unit yet.

Any ideas of how to make this work? Sorry if I have confused you more than I am already.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

I used relays on my dual fan setup. The relays are tied in with the ECM. The guy that did my harness and flashed my computer had the relays wired and set the Temps for the fans to kick on. My buddy just wired his to kick on when the key was on.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Thanks, the fans are two speed and come on in stages if I use the controller and I would really like to have those features, these are 30amp fans so 60amps total. I found a BIM unit from Dakota that uses the ECM temp from the OBD II port.

Going to try that and install the thermostat from fans where the Dakota unit is.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Sounds like a plan. I think my first fan kicks on at 210 and the second fan is 220. I also have the second fan wired in to my ac pressure switch to kick on if pressure is to high. Most of the time my truck runs around 190 so neither fan is on.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Got the fans finished up, a/c on sitting in the shop never got above 195!!!!!!!!

Also switched out the fuel sending unit, it has been frozen for the last year. Dropped the tank and changed it in about an hour

Ordered the Dakota Digital Unit so I can get the water temp from the ECM, that will wrap up all of the loose ends beside the cleaning up of wiring
