Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

I've only ever owned 60-72 Chevy/GMC trucks/suburbans but love all years. No idea which year this is but it was parked close to me the other day and looked pretty clean so snapped a few pics.

Just picked this up in Colorado and immediately drove it 1100 miles home. Ran flawlessly!

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

I sold this thing in '15 at Spring Carlisle and I miss as much as I knew I would. I have a whole between my '72 and '95 that needs filled with a square peg . I really needed that thing to be a truck to work out of. If I had one back then I'd still have it. Damn engine blew at a bad time in my daily work truck so it had to go.

I never showed these and just ran across them in pictures from Carlisle that year. This was where it sold. It was a friend of a friend from NH who gave no money down. I did get full payment that week after. Although he didn't come down for it till late summer, I didn't think it right to drive it. So I had to look at it there for months with the hardtop back on, ready for him to take it away

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

And another one. My newest Suburban is a 1991 with 123,000 miles on it. Basic truck with manual windows and locks. I borrowed the wheels from my 1988 so I could get it inspected but have ended up driving it instead of stealing parts from it. I bought it to use the barn doors on my 1988 but the thing is in just too good condition to part out. Its a 1/2 ton with 10 bolt front and rear (3.42 ratio) , 5.7 TBI / 700R4 / NP241.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Here's a couple of pics of my 1988 1/2 ton Scottsdale that I purchased off the original owner with about 75K on the OD.

As purchased with the standard white steel wheels/hubcaps and old man style running boards

With a set of rally's and tires I picked up cheap for $300.00 and starting the process of being redone.

Then after a total strip of paint, glass, interior, headliner, chrome, etc.. everything replaced with new or refurbished, repainted, restored, body bushing, updated grill, running boards, door handles, all rubber, vent windows, leveling zero-rate springs, the list go on and on.

Thanks Man. My first show with it since I finished. It was quite the conversation piece.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

This is my new 1986 Suburban K2500 4x4 with an M code 350 engine with HD Emissions. This was the last year with no catalytic converters in these trucks, from what I've read.

It is as clean as it looks. Not a resto! No rust, all original panels. Same owner for the last 25 years. It is immaculate and even the clock works!

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Thanks guys. It's pretty much bone stock other than the engine and tires, but I like it that way. Although it would be nice to have differential lock or even lsd on the rear

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Here is my 1991 V1500. It has a 4 inch spring lift, 33 inch tires, and 4.88 gears. I'm running the stock front 30 spline 10-bolt and a 14 bolt semi-float from 95 Chevy to retain the 6 lug pattern. It's locked with a lunchbox locker. Bumpers were made by RLCFab. It has a BedSlide in the rear with an ARB fridge and a Puma Air Compressor. That's about it. Thanks for the join.

New to me...

'78 K10 Silverado Suburban

Getting things sorted out. Right now is trying to find a bigger steel wheel than the 15x6 stock wheels to run bigger / higher load rated tires (and dog dish caps...). The chinese Toyos are about done.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

can someone help me out please? anyone own a 1979-1980 suburban (cali
approved not federal) with factory 454 that still has the emission sticker diagram? I really need a picture of it to follow it and put the 454 back to original to pass smog in cali. I was using a 350 1980 emission sticker to get an idea but it is not accurate for me to follow that. thank you!
