Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

I think driving lights would look good, especially if they matched the turn signals in the grille.

Why.....you wanna trade?

your guy just did a much better job of following the contour or the original seat.....especially around the perimeter.

I'm just gonna have to live with mine.

I've thought about putting the 71-72 ambers in the grille of my '69. My order got mixed up for the front markers, and I got a clear for the '69-70, and an amber for the 71-72. Their identical moldings though.

Since I'm away from my truck.. what are the dimension of the holes in the bumpers? Looking at the fog lights on my '90 Firebird, I think a pair of those may fit nicely in each bumper hole. If you don't mind a 2 + 2 thing with fog lights that is.

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

The fog lights for the 3rd gen T/A body (even though mine is only a POS V6!) are 3inches tall, and 5-1/2 inches wide, with the lense being only 4-1/2 inches wide.

They don't look 9 inches wide in the bumper

I'll dig around and see what else has similar sized fog lights.

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

Ok, I haven't seen it mentioned, whats up the the truck sitting beside low buck with no gap between the bed and cab. Modified Blazer or trying to imitate a 60's Ford with an integrated cab?

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

Not much new but I have been driving the truck daily and so far not even a glitch. My company car was rear ended (not with me driving) so for a few weeks LowBuck is my only driver

I got the center caps today so I thru them on but I still need to paint the rims one of these days. I was able to replace all the lug nuts with out havein to pull out the floor jack so it went quick. I also stopped by the shop last week and left a little mark as my Boss was standing by

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

texanidiot25,... The conversion lugs can usually be found on ebay. I just emailed the company and purchased them over the phone. Eliminates all the bidding. Search ebay,... buy direct.

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

So then, is this project pretty much done? Outside of the wheel painting anyway. It's one hell of a nice DD.

Re: LFD's low buck truck build!

Yes their is just wheel painting and Line-X left to do on this one.

The number that Tripp gave is one of the E-bay listers and they were about $75 delivered with lugs, caps and cap lugs.

Thanks, I think your wrong but it's your opnion
I feel the trim adds that stock look to the truck (even know it's 68 trim on a 70) but still gives it that edge of custom.
