Re: 70c10
I doubt that'll ever happen lol I am taking it back how it should be. Crimson red and a little taller side wall. Muncie 4 speed and original radio. Those are the things I'd like to go with atm. But things change oh to often lol

Re: 70c10
great story so far and motor is looking good
just wondering if your water temp sender might be better off in one of the inlet manifold holes before the thermostat rather then where it is-give you a truer indication of motor temp?? anyway, thanks for all the pictures.

Re: 70c10
We drove the truck down the road earlier. Everything checked out fine! We'll be driving it a little further tomorrow to check again. So far the tranny is still shifting good. That was our only concern. Gotta love these old trucks!

No abs. No tc. No airbags. No collapsing column. No ecu. lap belts. Full metal dash. Bench seat. Suicide tank. No 'crush' zones. Broke mph gauge. 100% Steel. No ecu. Holes in floor boards. Rack and pinion steering. Drum Brakes. 3 speed, no od.
Why? Because Classic. |

Re: 70c10
Drove the truck some more. So much fun to drive, I love it. And the power mixed with the not so great handling makes it an adventure. I looked down and was going somewhere between 70-80 today on a back road lol. It rides pretty smooth. We're going to try and take it to the next town over this weekend, and see how things go. Can't really go to far do to the tires. They are in the mayblow state lol. They could last 100 straight miles, or could last 100 feet. You can never tell. The rears were stamped in 83, so that should give you an idea. New tires may take a few weeks, so in tell we get there it'll be short sweet drives.
Also, here is a picture from probably the mid 80's. The truck looked a tad different lol And the pic is old, so forgive me for the quality ![]() |

Re: 70c10
The question is how bad do you got the c10 bug?
Cuz I know I got it bad, I think about my truck all the time. I dont know how much money im going to end up spending on it but I know its going to be alot because I wont be able to leave it alone. ![]() |

Re: 70c10
![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you guys like pics :P Well, got in the new fuel sending unit. Its in, can't wait to start body work! Also. I put a fire extinguisher in the truck, just in case. Old wiring, and a fresh motor.... Yeah, I am highly afraid something bad will happen. |
