Let me get your opinions on a couple of things....

Should I body drop it or not?

Should I keep side moldings on it or get rid of them? If I keep them I'll buy some new ones.

no body drop and keep the side moldings !!! there is a guy in Lincoln Ar , that fixes and repolishes factory trim , i think it is 7 or 8 dollars a foot ...FYI, he is going to be doing mine

When I started over my mind was made up. I was going to body drop it... well now that I'm seeing it with some sheet metal on and my wheels and tires. I'm leaning more to not doing it. I really like how it's sitting right now. As of now I don't think I'll do the body drop...

As far as the moldings go. I wonder how good of a job a guy could repair them for, as stated by cheby compared to a new set? A dude here in Elk had some done by a guy in OKC (don't know who) and they looked terrible for being redone. Mine aren't terrible just not that great.

I definitely vote moldings and would say to ask for some references to see the guy's work or drop off an extra piece to see how he does....

And have you considered the porterbuilt bolt on body drop that lowers an extra 3/4-1" I believe without having to raise your floor?

The one thing I would do if that low is shave the pinch weld on the rocker or at least paint it flat black so it "disappears". I think that with it shaved the truck looks lower overall and the lower body line is straight across.

I guess I should have specified, but yes the body drop would be the porterbuilt setup. I already have it on my other frame. Just wasn't sure if I wanted it on this truck. This truck will be my daily when I get it back on the road also... Thanks for your input on the pinch weld (haven't really thought of that) and letting the guy fix an extra molding.

No i haven't even looked at it to see what the problem is. Lack of funds for right now. (those tires took my life savings!) With the new one on the way. Which you know all about!

the guy here that does the moldings is unbelievable, our big shop in this area that does all of the 110k plus builds uses him for all of their trim and bright work
