When I get my dad's truck done and the guy comes and gets his frame out of my shop. I plan on getting this frame rolling with all the sheet metal on it. Then it'll sit in the corner so I can get my silver '68 back on the road. Just jumping back and forth.

Thanks! I'm in a little town called Elk City. It's in western OK.

Got some bad news that will postpone anything that I've got going on right now. The dealership that I work for decided to shut down the body shop over night, last Monday, so Tuesday we got the news that we have two weeks and were locking the doors. It sucks but O'well...what you going to do. After talking to real estate agents and looking at what shops/commercial property is available (what is available are junk and way to high) I decided to go to another body shop for right now and continue looking for a good place to go in on my own.

that blows! I worked in the okc years ago and the boss bought me lunch on thursday and told me what a great job I was doing and then on friday told me that the shop was slowing down and had to let me go... It will all work out!

Thanks guys! Scott I think Jasons bad news was years ago and not recent, but it still sucks. I'm not going to be in a bad position or anything. I'm going back to work with an old employer......which this will be third time I've gone back. Always seem to leave cause we don't see eye to eye on a few things, but I'm thankful he hired me back. Last time I left was on bad terms, so I didn't know how it was going to go. But thanks again and take care!

frames look very familar. you work like I do multiple projects at once. Then you find out you are only sleeping 2-4 hrs a day. Your projects look great keep it up.

Trust me I struggle in the shop all the time. This is the third one I have worked on and it is getting easier but I still struggle. Anyway your projects look great keep it up.

I was able to get out there and and get something done. Me and some buddies set the cab on, so I could hang some sheet metal.

I was supposed to have some parts in Friday to finish up my rear, but UPS lost my package at the shipping facility.(sucks!) So I should have it rolling tomorrow.

I'm trying to talk my self into cutting down the bed, but can't seem to get motivated. I cut out all the bed wood strips, got the bed square, and welded in one piece of metal (a lot more needed) and welded the tailgate shut. Tomorrow I might try and cut it down. I cant make up my mind If I want to cut the full twenty inches out of the middle and redrill my fender holes or cut twelve out the front and eight out of the back. INPUT WELCOME.....

wow looks awsome i think i would do one cut down the middle so it doesnt show the new painted peice so you can keep the patina if your repainting then do it in front and behind the wheel. i LOVE THOSE ORIGINAL RIMS AND HUB CAPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this case, using a step side, you can shorten it however you want. There is reason to make it any particular length, just match the frame to whatever wheelbase you want.

The frame is already cut down. Just the typical twenty inchs. I'm about to get out there. Well see what happens.
