Killer progress on this build! The chassis is insane. Love the LS3 power plant.

Sweet truck for sure. What's left from the original truck? The cab?

Nice job, but shouldn't the insides of the door window frames be painted to match the interior of the cab, and not the exterior?

Thanks! - not a whole lot, most of the cab, hood and fenders. With the availability of good replacement parts from Dynacorn and the long-to-shortbed conversion we didn't really need to preserve much.

We did it the same way on our orange track truck and nobody minded!

Mind you, with this powertrain and chassis, I doubt the driver and passenger will be analyzing the insides of the doors...

To each their own, but for those that know, it stands out as inaccurate. Maybe the next one...

Re: Roadster Shop / Craftsman C-10 Muscle Truck Build

Wicked build! I have always loved the orange truck, and this one is just as nice. If not nicer,
I don't know why everyone is ragging about the tailgate, Craftsman sponsored the truck build and it is a pretty clean way to incorporate them into the build. It almost looks like it belongs there. It's a heck of a lot better than wrenches and other assorted tools being used for every accessory/trim or any other place you can ram one

"Inaccurate" only matters if you're going for a concours d'elegance or a "fresh off the show room floor" type vehicle, which this clearly is not. There is no such thing as inaccurate on a custom vehicle.

Great job! I'm betting the truck is done. It looks nearly complete in the videos. With editing taking as long as it does for a short clip, I imagine the trucks been done for a while now. Video is good, but got any pics?

Frankly, I was waiting for someone to say just that. Just didn't think it'd take so long. Personally, I don't think it matters if it's going on the showroom floor or not.

I get what you mean, but we weren't really going for 'accuracy'...especially when you factor in the other non 'accurate' details:

Aston Martin paint
Shortbed conversion
Forgeline 5 spokes
Wilwood 6 pistons
Completely re-engineered chassis and suspension
550hp motor
custom machined emblems and interior trim
Kicker sound system...etc, etc

They actually turn those vids around pretty quick. Its close to complete, just not 100%. The interior is going in literally as I type.
I'll get a few more pics up shortly.

Re: Roadster Shop / Craftsman C-10 Muscle Truck Build

I'm just giving constructive criticism, sounds like you appreciate it. Of all the things listed below, a little detail like the door frames went overlooked. It isn't a sin, though sometimes the little, standard details show through more. Every time I see a painted truck, I notice immediately if the window frames blend with the inside of the cab or not. It stands out (as odd if not) that much (to me anyways). Keep up the great work.
