Re: SPID Picture thread?

The first one is a GMC 2500 4x4 with the optional 351E V6 and New Process 435-GA tranny. It has speed warning and the ram assisted hydraulic power steering. That truck is no doubt a beast!!

The second is my '71 C/10 that is a factory hugger orange, A/C truck.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Here is the one from my GMC.
Notice it has code Z17 twice. Once as Custom Appearance Option and once as Grande and has Z84 as custom sport truck. Is that normal?

Re: SPID Picture thread?

I don't think they always put every option on the spid. I have seen a lot of options that that looked to be original but were not listed. Anyone have any further info on such?

What kind of parts are you talking about?
The assembly line was supposed to list every option on the SPID ad build sheet. It didn't always happen, but they were usually fairly acurate.

The parts you are seeing may be part of an option package, or a dealer installed accesory.

I was under the impression that all options should be listed. Ive had 2 1972 Oshawa trucks where power steering and power brakes were not listed. And I don’t think they were standard option…?

G50 is heavy duty rear springs
M42 is an optional tranny, 4 speed if memory serves
c42 is for the heater... I'll assume you have a 67. In 67 the heater, while standard (first year for that) the dealer was told to treat it like an option. If the heater was not requested, then it was a credit to buyer.
R48 was an oil bath air filter

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Leh72 is the Hawaiian blue color supposed to listed as such? I always thought it was more of a nickname and the factory listed it as med blue on the SPIDs..of course I could be wrong. All the trucks I have owned had the regular font type.

Re: SPID Picture thread?

Attn Longhorn: Pic 8 on page 1 has a different code for aux fuel tank. NL2 versus N18 from chips site. Could it be due to the 133" wheelbase? Also, am looking for a RPO code for Brush/Grilleguard. Or how about spotlights?
