Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

Well there is no one asking about Panel trucks but it's sort of a suburban.

Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

Resurrecting a REALLY old thread... not post's in almost four years. It's funny seeing page 1 with Frizzle's Burb and Hart Rod's Burb "Back in the Day" .

I wonder how many users still have these Burb's. Hopefully this will rattle a few long term user's email inboxes. "When did I subscribe to THAT thread?!?"

So. . . here goes a four year long overdue version of TTT!

Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

Cool thread to bring back from archives. Jeff's (98L150) suburban was the inspiration for mine. My suburban was originally these colors and I remember looking at Jeff's and thinking yep thats what mine will look like.

hdman6465 I love the stance of your burb. What drop do you have? and what size tires are you running? I have an 8 lugger too.

I just got the truck two months ago, and though I do have a receipt for the springs, and other suspension parts being replaced I don't know all the detail. I'll try to do some research. As far as the tire size they are 235/75/15 and are surprisingly 5 lug wheels.
I believe the stance of the truck is enhanced and made to appear lower due to the running boards. I'll post some more photos as soon as I have time. One other thing is that there is a trailer on the back with a lot of tongue weight on it, and does make it appear lower.
There must be a drop to it, in fact the guy who told me about this forum said it was dropped, Chris (Vectorit). Thanks Chris for the invite this is Burb heaven!

Welcome to the forum! Glad to see you made it, and looks like you have made yourself at home. You are right, this is burb heaven on the net. No other Chevy truck forum even comes close!

I still see you running around town in your burb! So cool to see the old iron still out on the road, especially around where we live where everything is new and plastic.

Re: calling all 2wd suburbans!!!

This is my 72 suburban. I bought it several months ago out of Bend, Or. It is all original. Plan to buff the paint, lower with drop spindles and springs and maybe take the 18's and 20's off my 71 gmc short bed and put on the suburban. Needs a little work before I get it on the road.
