If it was me, I'd find another cab. Frame looks great.

Re: Guilty Customs teams up with WellBilt Kustoms to build a 67 C20

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I've been working on the cab since the start of the week, and were just moving steady on it. Got most of the rust spots cut out, and patch panels are made. Filled in the trim holes. Shaved the cab seam up at the top of the roof. Shaved the gas filler hole. And about 50% done with the roof drip rail. Both rockers have been removed, and passenger side needs new metal under where the rocker goes.

Also got the firewall cut out, and ready for a new skin. We decided to cut the entire firewall out, and shave smooth, instead of filling all the holes, and tapering the two panels to make it look like one.

I have also started shaving unwanted holes, open spots on the 55 chevy dash, and once all the floor has been fixed and welded up, I will start molding the dash in.

I'll post up some pics later on tonight.

Frame comes back from powder coating Friday!

Also the engine comes back this week. Looking forward to seeing how all that bling looks on there with the fresh coat of paint to match all the suspension components.

Man that thing is sweet. Looks like you could have built a 2x4 and been way less work. But it's outstanding work none the less.

For the frame, we went with a black base with copper vein hammer finish. Should tie everything in really well.

The truck will be pearl white up top, rootbear candy color on the lower half, and in the middle of the two, it will have a tangerine candy color to break it up, with silver pinstripping. Not sure if its just going to be a straight break in the colors with the tangerine, or have some type of graphic or pattern to it.

Re: Guilty Customs teams up with WellBilt Kustoms to build a 67 C20

Frame is back from powder coating. I will post pictures of it here shortly. The copper color isn't as vibrant as we thought it was going to be, but overall it looks like a rootbeer color, which works out perfect with the color scheme for the exterior of the truck.

Metal work and rust repair continues on the cab. I should have a good portion of it done this week.

If any of you are local, and attend the long beach high performance swapmeets once a month, May 9th is the next event, and I will be there in a booth with the chassis put together as a roller, so please come by check it out, and say hello. I'd love to meet some of the guys on this forum!

I ordered them from my fastener supplier. They look great, but they aren't cheap! But when you look under this truck and notice that every nut is chrome, and every bolt is a chrome plated allen head, it just makes it that much better.

I recognize the area now. You are across the street from A-1 Transmission, they resealed my Turbo 400 for my 70.
