Looks good!

Thanks for those pics, I would do your paint if I was closer. I'd paint it as long as there was beer handy of course!

I've got a sport bumper also I want to put on my truck, but I don't have the brackets what did you use. I have a spare set of front bumper brackets that I can use. Can you take some or a pic of how you mounted yours Thanks. By the way good job on your build, it's looking good.

On the suburbans they mount to the frame, then have an extra support similar to a front bumper. Those supports will bolt up perfectly to your frame but you cant put a load or anything on it. You can see what im talking about in my frame painting pics on this page.

I believe LMC sells the "truck" sport bumper brackets.

Me being the fabricator that I am, I believe ill adapt the rear frame section of a suburban to my pickup so it all bolts on, for now mine is just bolted on with the supports.

Re: SWB budget frame off- East Tx Squares style

Well guys I haven't been on here much at all lately, I got sidetracked on another project and just had a truck fall into my lap, the truck is a pile, but it runs great. My little short bed has sat unattended since I last left off, the engine had a cracked head and discouraged me.

Anyways I have decided to go full retard on my short bed truck. Why? Well, why not?

A few pics and details to follow

Re: SWB budget frame off- East Tx Squares style

This wonderful pile fell into my lap for damn near nothing.

Now, what engine belongs in that truck? A nice little 6bt Cummins 12 valve hooked to a torque flight 727 trans....

What a better place to stuff all that into? How about a swb Chevy??

The swap begins.... soon
