Re: 198Plus build

I thought I would post some pictures on the progress of the truck. We got the windshield in and the new vent windows. I've been switching the v pulleys over to the march aluminum serpentine pulleys and we got the bed in. The wire harness is pulled through most places just need to finish that up. Brakes are just about all hooked up, put wire looms on, ran transmission cooler lines and it seems like a lot more but that's all I can think of right now.

Re: 198Plus build

congrats on the purchase, I saw the truck a couple years ago and it is slick and it looks as though it found exactly the home it deserves so it will be finished to the standards it started at, great work.

Re: 198Plus build

Hi guys, well we almost have it finished. Just have to get the exhaust finished, ac charged, lots of polishing, and I'm waiting for the fuel tank sending unit to come back from being re calibrated. Took it out for a test drive the other day and wow Ronnie's engine builder did a great job. Can't wait to take it for a longer ride.

Glad to hear you're almost to the finish line! That's a beautiful truck for sure. Thanks for taking time to keep us updated on it. You gonna take a spin by Ronnie's shop & do a smokey burnout to make him regret selling it?

Congrats on the purchase, Tom. I noticed it for sale the other day.

Welcome to the forum. You wouldn't happen to be from Longview, TX would you? I had a Tom Shaw work for me at my previous job and he moved out the GA area.

Re: 198Plus build

Thanks guys, no I'm originally from IL on the border of Iowa.

I have to be honest I was nervous about buying the truck just because I am afraid I'll screw it up. Alan and Ronnie have done incredible things with this truck. I have a hard time with patience but I think I'll have to learn some on this.

Patience is a virtue with any old vehicle. When you find yourself getting getting mad just walk away and come back with a clear mind. Remember to breath.
