Re: "The Convict"

One of the nicest upgrade on my 72 was a nice little short track gear reduction starter. Flawless nearly for 7 years now. Though it did have an exciter wire separation issue internally (sounds like a personal problem if you ask me)

Well, I finally got my 15x10s to me, they fit perfect for the stance I want. If someone replies to this I will post a picture of them test fitted on the truck.

Re: "The Convict"

I'm having the same dilemma with the 63... I'll probably go with 235's all around since I haven't got an engine that produces enough hp to chirp tires lol.

If the tranny guy knows what hes doing and will back up his work then thats a good deal. Wheels i say you get the fat tires you want on the back that way there is no coulda woulda shoulda and just go for the look you truly want without regret later .

Yeah that is true. I found a brand new set of 295/50/15s for $275 for all 4.

Re: "The Convict"

Well, I will say it like this, He built a rail-car dragster that runs on alcohol and he built the trans in it, been running it for a couple years now,

Re: "The Convict"

Traded my aftermarket bench for a stock one and $150, I'm adding $50 bucks to make $200 and giving the stock and $200 for racing seats and the brackets for my truck, I can't wait! Also, dropped the trans saturday morning, once it was off I checked the torque converter and, still full of fluid it rattles like heck, But None the less the trans is all the way out and I bought a High performance B&M rebuild kit for it this evening, On friday we wll be getting a B&M stage 2 shift kit and will order the new torque converter.

Re: "The Convict"

Well Late friday night we got the last parts for my rebuild. Now we are just waiting on the rebuild guy. Sometime last week I got the racing seats, and then yesterday the guy I got the seats from came over with a aftermarket B&M shifter and traded me that for all the stock shift linkages and stock shifter, And gave me a MSD box and coil. So I'd say it was a good week over all. I need to get yall some pictures but my school principal took my phone, and no before any smart ass says it.. I was not playing on it. It was in my binder under my desk and the stupid alarm went off.

Today me and my dad official got the seats and new shifter in all the way. You want pics? You got 'em! The picture of the actual truck is how she is sitting right now, waiting on her transmission.. I'm getting tired of waiting on it too!
