Re: Slowly I build a truck

Probably should have left a little more length for timing adjustment, but I think it's OK.

Found the spring and clip I needed for the Jack at the junk yard. I still need to find a bag for the tools.

Re: Slowly I build a truck

Thanks guys! I really had never even changed my own oil before I started this. I'm just taking it a step at a time and walk away and call my friends for help when I get over-whelmed.

Polished up the old fan Shroud and installed the radiator support:

Re: Slowly I build a truck

I went with a 4-core radiator so I had to notch the support for brackets to fit:

I used a pencil type sautering iron along with a razor knife to burn through the carpet as needed for bolts and dimmer switch.

Where did you get the new rubber around the dimmer switch? Never seen that part before.

Re: Slowly I build a truck

Thanks guys. Chevy88 - I was expecting the rubber grommet for the dimmer switch to be included with the carpet from Stock Interiors. When it was not included I called them and they sent it out right away no charge. I'm not sure if it was an over-sight that it was not included originally or if you just have to ask for it. Before I called them I looked around to see if I could just buy one, but I couldn't find it anywhere as a separate item.

Every carpet kit I have installed has had the grommet in the kit.
