Re: Bad Idea

Ain't got a whole lot done recently. Weather has been decent so I been house workin a whole lot. Did mock up the rear (no pics) and front Accuair sensors. Kind of a pain in the ass to find the right spot for them but I think I might leave them where they're at for now. Moving on to mounting the VU4 and the eLevel brain then the wiring for it. Still trying to decide to use dual relays for the compressors or the simple looks of the single bigger Accuair relay. Some work gettin done.....not much but some.

Re: Bad Idea

Well the air ride is in and wired up and running for what it can do now. Can't program the sensors till I got the whole truck together and running. Without no weight on this thing I can damn near hop the sum *****.

Re: Bad Idea

The low point won't be this low because I'm running stock inner fenders but at least this is a reference point for a stock crossmember on bags.

Re: Bad Idea

That was a nice truck before you even started on it but it's going to be one of the nicest trucks anywhere when you are finished, nice vision man.

Re: Bad Idea

Played a little too much with the air ride last night. I blame the ! I meant to disconnect the arms of the sensors because they serve no purpose right now and two weren't really right length. Well, I ended up busting the one of the arms on one of the sensors. Called Accuair and got another on the way. Have to go out and see if any damage was made to sensor itself. Once again I blame the .

Re: Bad Idea

Looking awesome! Really like your build, I would really suggest going with slosh tubs in the front, just got mine driving, and I wish I could roll with it lower.

Re: Bad Idea

Ok....I'm still here. Not much severe work going on the truck but it's goin.
The air ride is in.
The air management is in.
The engine/tranny are back in.
Most of powder coating is done 95%.
So as of now it's a true roller. The big news is that the cab and doors(new) made their way to the painter today. I felt sick the whole day taking it over there but he'll do a great job and it's something I can't do. When he's got those done I'll pick em up and put cab right back on frame and take rest of body over to him. Didn't want to ask him when he might get it done. I was afraid of answer.....ha. Oh it's gonna be black......kinda.

Re: Bad Idea

Figured the best way to get it there on the dolly was enclosed in something. All my buddies trailers were either in use, full, or too damn big. I used a Uhaul and it worked perfect. Not knowing when I'll get it back this will be the way it comes home so it's out of the weather.

Re: Bad Idea

Sometimes I wish I could afford to send mine to the paint shop.. Home maybe 2 days a week is not getting much done... My cab is damn near ready for paint, but its taking forever. the windshield cowl was a major PITA to get all stripped down. There was only like 6 different paint jobs stacked up on this truck... No sandblaster either...

Cant wait to someday put our trucks side by side and do a photo shoot.
