Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Ran out of money for the build, but it didn't stop me from dropping the front suspension from the frame on the '69.

Hey Glider,
Do have a high hump or low hump cab? Is that a hurst shifter? I like the way that setup looks.

Hey Dano, thanks,
I have a low hump. I originally did buy a Hurst but sent it back , the shifter seemed like it was going to be a bit short and I didn't want to have to lean forward to have to shift, plus it was about $100 bucks more than the one I put in which is from MR. Gasket, I did the install by myself, it wasn't to bad. almost forgot, the Hurst kit didn't even come with shifter boot cover. I would have had to buy that extra.

Started it and let it run a while. Haven't done that in a while since it turned cold. Everything worked fine too!

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Sprayed oven cleaner on some more parts, washed it off and finally found a little rust...not to worry, it's low on the pass side front fender well and only superficial. California truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Ughhhhh, the previous owner had decided that 4 inch trailer lights from Wal-Mart was the way to go for brake lights. Today, we decided differently. I had a few pieces of 14 gauge steel and the neighbor kid was more than willing to weld in the patches and this was what we finished prior to it getting dark. !'ll finish grinding tomorrow as it just got to late and too noisy

here's a few shots of my neighbor welding in the patches

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Well, today I went and got my book out of my truck.

I'm broke and it's my daily driver. Can't afford to tear it apart, lest I not be able to get to work in the morning.

Early Classics. Fit perfectly and was pretty easy to install.

I went with 5" springs in the rear. The install was straight forward and all components fit as advertised. Starting on the front this evening. Installing 1" drop coil combined with 2 1/2" drop spindles.
