Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

The price is the same as in post #1. I will send you a PM.

The Impala SS hoses will work as well as '79 Chevette hoses.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Just curious -- how do you guys get around state inspection with no parking brake? These brackets seem like a great solution but I don't think I'd pass if my parking brakes didn't work.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Not all states have vehicle inspections, such as here in Idaho. If you need an e-brake/parking brake, you can use my Camaro caliper brackets or the D52 brackets with the Eldorado calipers.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Too bad you couldn't do a bracket that uses the impala SS calipers and maybe has a small wilwood mechanical caliper mounted below it. I went with the SS calipers as if they can stop a heavy car they can stop a heavy truck , but my old timer mechanic ( he's 75 and been doing it since 1955) was calling me a dumbass for not running an ebrake setup on my truck for safety reasons. Florida is a no inspection state.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

That has already been considered, just not enough time to get it done.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

I already have a couple CAD programs, but can't afford a CNC laser. I have 2 local suppliers with 3 CNC lasers, so that isn't a problem. It's the mockup and test fitting that takes time.

I assume you are talking about a dust/gravel shield? If so, I do not know of any stock application that will work.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Yes I do still sell the Impala SS rear disc brackets. However I am currently out of them. I sold my last set a few days ago and just haven't ordered more laser cutting. I can get more on order on Monday when one of my laser cutters is back to work.

Re: Impala SS Rear Disc Brake Brackets

Wanted to bump for a great product. Got them home and installed on my factory 64 housing!

Also found two loaded calipers off eBay from Cardone for 51 dollars a piece, included the bracket and everything.
