Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Yeah Ray. I thought you might like that.

I got my wonderful wife to help me put the exhaust heat shield on. I then put tonto on the trailer so I can take him to the muffler shop next week. I will have to buy a new battery for him too.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

yeah. But it does fine doing it though. I will drive Tonto home from the muffler shop. It'll be nice to drive an old truck again.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Well, I know where a stepside is you will be able to drive soon, and any time you want. Plus, it won't be long till your swb is driveable, you'll have a hard time deciding, I bet. Good problem to have!

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Tonto has exhaust. And it may be the oil burning off of the new pipes but it smells of oil. I only drove it 5-6 mi so I guess I'll see if it gets better. It may be the valve cover gaskets but it looks like they have recently been changed. Time will tell. Heres a video of it now. Its MUCH quieter. It has turbos on it.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Rus and Chuck, Hate to jump in hear but would you have room to haul a couple 68 fenders north this weekend. I can PM the deal but I was not sure which one to ask so I thought I would start here.

By the way it is supposed to be low 17, high 30's on Saturday and we still have 6 inches of snow on the ground right now. It was 7 degrees this morning. The main roads are clear and should not an issue other than the 2 blocks to the barn and I do not think that will be a problem either.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Chuck is definitely the guy to ask as we will be in his truck but I don't think it will be an issue because we will be pulling an empty trailer up there, plus I don't think we will have much in the bed of his truck! Send Chuck a PM..
