Truck is looking amazing! 3years is not that bad, I got 18 years into mine and still not finished, I think you are doing great on your timeline.

I know 3 years isn't so bad. I'm just wishing it would have taken me one year. I put my convertible project on hold for this project and am wishing I had time and money for that one too!

Set the box on the chassis today. Need to make sure things are lining up and tailgate gaps are correct before I tack weld the bed sides to the floor.

I'm contimplating restoring the old step bumper or going with a chrome sport out back. The step is ugly but cheap and bulletproof!

Finish off with steel plate and paint it white that would look good.

Ok 2 votes to dump the step bumper and one to keep it. It's starting to look like public opinion is going towards a chrome sport bumper.

If you keep the step bumper, have it chromed or at least powder coated aluminum.

I'm doing the chrome sport bumper but it's really up to you. If you could raise that original bumper to sit level with the bottom of the bedsides then it might look better.

What mirrors are you going to use?

I plan to go with the 67-68 round mirrors. I think I may paint those body color but not sure on that either.

I really like the 67-68 side chrome too! I got to say I saw your "project money pit" build thread before I started this project and it gave me the incentive to go out and buy this truck to restore. Thanks for the inspiration to take this on!

Thanks for the encouragement! It seems like I've been the home stretch for a couple of years now!

Looks like you have a nice build going on too! Was it an original black truck?

Unfortunately, i don't know that. I know its been painted because i found some bondo here and there. The glove box door was changed at some point, and that SPID doesn't match the vin on the door jamb and frame. What i do know is that it was an original V8, 4 speed, SWB, 4x4 truck. But enough about my truck, yours rocks, keep it going!

Well got to spend a few hours on the k10 this weekend. Finally resprayed the inside of passenger fender and hung it. This fender has been a pain in the a$$! I resprayed it for different reasons at least 4 times!
