Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

hey guys, sorry for dispearing on you! i'm still around and still alive, just no time to work on the truck due to winter training and everything... I just got back from florida for almost 2 weeks of training and you guys have it luckyyyy!!!! I wish it was that warm up here so I can work out and ride outside... oh well... hopefully this coming winter I will be down there with ya'll!

Well, I have worked on the truck a few times lately and got some real progress done today... SHES ALIVE!!! she fired up right away without any tweaking or tuning. It turned over 2 or 3 times and came to life... I have a poor quality video that I took with my camera phone (2 mega pixel) but I was too excited to get my real camera out haha. I am hoping to be able to pull it out of the garage by sunday since I finally got my problems with the brakes figured out and everything is plumbed... Im so excited! haha

heres the video if you wanna watch it-I will try to get better video footage tomorrow hopefully but we will see...

Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

alot got done yesterday, but not much pics. I sanded/painted both inner fenders (rubberized the insides, painted the outsides black), we re-built the radiator support to hold my aluminum radiator, finally bolted the cab down, ran the choke line and electrical line from the distributor to my tach dash, installed both sun visors, and idk what else I forget...

I also got my paint yesterday... its gonna be kinda temporary but I wish I could find a nice paint that will last forever with the look it will start out as... But im not going to reveal that as of yet

Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

lookin good. What are the specs on the cam? What class do you run in mx? Youve got killer style in your avatar pic, unless that is someone else. I raced MX for several years and crashed my way out of the intermediate class, lol. Dungey or Jlaw, whos gonna win it? Later, Cory

Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

cam specs are on crane cams website-

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brows...91&lvl=2&prt=5

and I race 250B stock and mod, 125B mod. Yes, thats me last year at nationals where I placed 9th overall in 250c...

heres a few pics from nationals last year...

I personally dont like Jlaw... he doesnt have much respect from some in my area because he would always cheat (not that it really mattered due to the fact that he'd destroy everyone anyways) plus he tried to take out my trainer at the one race when they werent even in the same class... We call him Jlo haha. But I cant deny his skills but I just wish he had more respect... Honestly I hope Dungey wins west and Canard wins East!

and I know what you mean about crashing-26 bones in 14 years of racing (started when I was 3...) so i've spent alot of time on the injured list, sadly. But hey it happens, and I still love the sport!!!

Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

WOO HOO! My dad and I got the bed on tonight. holy &*^% the bed is pretty heavy when its all one peice! haha. I dont have any pics of the bed on the truck (it got dark out) but it depresses me- the bed on my donor truck is the one we just unbolted and stuck on for "mock up" and if the PO wouldnt've lost the left rear i'd have a completely straight bed to drop on. DOH! oh well, im gonna see what kinda massaging I can do to get it looking a little better. But heres some pics of the bed and of my 69...

ghetto helper springs? (look at the top of the shock)

more pics will be uploaded tomorrow.

Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

Hell yea! 9th in the C class at Loretta’s is no joke! I struggled to make top 10at Whitney one year in the C class. You ever come down south for Lake Whitney or Oak Hill? I'm a jlaw fan purely because of his riding and style. The dude is sick! His antics can be disrespectful so I hear what you’re saying. I like Dungey too, but I don’t see him winning the championship, but will see. I hope Canard wins it, and he has very good chance.

Good luck with the truck! Check mine out. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ferrerid=24591

Re: My 67' LWB small window project truck

thanks man. It took all year and pounded myself training n stuff. I really wish Hahn would win (wil hahn) cause he was parked beside us at lorettas and hes a really down to earth kid-he paid his whole way last year to everything he went to at the age of 17. Hes amazing IMO!

And i've never been to whitney or oak hill-I watched at ponca one year (okie) but it depends on finances, I might go to florida for mini o's during thanksgiving...

I cant wait to haul my bikes around in my chevy when its built though haha.

bumpers are going on today, and hopefully saturday i'll toss on the 4in drop coils and it'll look close to finished, then I can tear it apart and paint everything!

Man...

That's Effin' Rad!

Tall 8-ball shifter, hula dancer on the dash, diamond plate foot print gas pedal...

I beleive the technical term there is "*****in'!".

as always, looking good, and can't wait to see plates slapped on it.
