Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

For those who remember this build, I just wanted to say I am almost done with the house project that has consumed every waking moment since last July. I am growing ever more painfully aware that I have not laid hands on my build for 2.5 years now. It still only has 2 miles on the Odo.... bleh.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Well then...
I posted this in 2017, and crazy enough it is still true. Only the house project has changed.

My wife and I went from renovating my first house, to building one of our own. For you guys who are on FB with me, none of this is news. Covid and the way it has been managed in my area really extended the timeline on this house. No ones fault, just a fact.

The floor plans for a 2,000 sq ft main floor, with a matching 2,000 in an unfinished basement.

This is the house last Halloween, just before the roofers came.

I hope everyone is healthy and doing well, we have been.
Not sure when I am going to get time to lay hands on my truck again because after the house, we are planning a 30x60 3bay shop 100 meters west of the house... maybe after that??

Be well all and keep wrenching !!

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Tuesday night we wanted to go out for a steak, last meal together, in the end we changed our minds and went with a Chinese Buffet.

Turned out to be a good choice for us.

Back home after dinner, a,last beer, and of course Harley making herself comfortable on McMurphy.

Both cats were extremely taken with him and Trish, alwaysna great sign.

This morning it was up before 06.00 as the visitors were off on the next leg of their European tour....

Taking the Eurostar train through the Chanel tunnel to Amsterdam and onward from there.

Even this early in the day, the traffic can get to be a nightmare, thankfully we got to leave the motorway just before the actual snarl up.

Amazingly, they have been here a week already.

It was a real, pleasure sharing time and travel with them

Good byes said, it was off to get tickets to Europe.

Easy as that.

I was back home before 8.00am

Found both cats in the spare room where the McMurpys had kept their luggage while they stayed with me......

I guess they were also missing them already.

I hope we get to see more of Europe through your eyes McMurphy.

I present to you gentlemen the bane of my existence for the past 9 months, and the source of all my excuses. Got it appraised today, hope to list and sell it next week. Here are some before and afters of the exterior front and back.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Well done Sir!!

I know the feeling of home maintenance.

You either gotta keep at it all the time or give it blocks of your time, but sadly it will always take your time.

Looks good.

As Don says, let's hope it moves fast.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

The property is listed on Zillow with all new photos inside and out. If you know someone looking to move to an awesome city, and want to live in a great part of town, point them in this direction. The address is: 972 E. 10th Ave, Spokane, WA.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, it has been a long road to recovery for this poor house.

Morning Michael,

Any progress here?

Not sure what your market is doing, but the UK market continues to be alive.
