On one of the Studebakers I did it was really tight, and had no room for a mechanicle fan. I had to use 2 electric fan's. One in front and a puller behind the radiator. It worked good, and didn't over heat.

Alan, How close are you to wanting to install the hood latch? I am asking because I was working on my truck yesterday and I got from the pull-it-yard the setup from a Camaro and it looks like it is just about a bolt in affair with maybe having to make just a little bracket here or there. With that setup you can actually have the hood release in the truck without having it able to be opened from the outside. Just a thought if you are interested.

Awesome truck, everytime I see that color it looks better!

I'm sure your engine has the accessory holes in the head. The compressor is an intergral part of the sepentine setup. sdailey just put the new kit on his crate engine. He just posted some pics on his build. It's a nice clean install.

I just got a quote back from the web guy. To set up an e-commerce forum based web site he wants $2000. There's no way I could afford to do it. I don't even know if the price is in line.

Yeah post some pictures. I was thinking of doing the same with a pull cable, because I also want to shave all the front holes in the hood.

Thanks Alan - I'll certainly check that out.

Now we need to discuss my shame, my sickness: I have to over-complicate things and I have to put that original transmission hump air conditioner "cabinet" back in my car and run the cold air ventilation through that unit, rather than using the vents supplied with the kits.

Is this doable? Or should I spend some more money on special therapy?

Yeah - I get that a lot.

What I'm taking about is where the evaporator and blower are located: The metal box that covers them. I have one - that's absolutely classic - black wrinkle finish with really cool chrome vents - that even swivel!

Can I conceivably adapt this to the Vintage Air system so I can have this sixties accessory in my car's interior?

Or, would a sedative be more practical?

I was looking on CL tools the other day and ran across a rotisseri (sp) for $400 a half mile from my work. It was at a restoration shop and the guy was retiring. I wish I had known sooner maybe I could have worked for him to learn more about the restoration side of the business and possibaly bought him out. Anyway the rotisseri is home made and should do the job. If not I can sell it and get my money back. I couldn't have bought the metal for that price. While there he had these dollies for $40 now they are mine. He has a 14X24 cross draft booth and mixing room for $5000/booth and 2500/mixing room. He took great care of his equipment. I just can't afford that kind of stuff yet. Here are the dollies.

I have those dollies in my garage and my truck has been sitting on them since its been parked. Great devices and makes for pushing the truck one way or another real easy.

I Lost my lifelong mentor today.

My Dad died at the age of 66

He will be missed tremendously. For close friends please don't bring it up around my girls til Saturday. We haven't told them yet.
