Chris, slap the caps on there. I'm trying to convince my wife that these will look better then some 338's but she wants to see the whole setup.

Re: New to me 72 Sub

I guess I should explain because that makes my wife look bad. She loves these trucks and is happy to come out and work on my burb with me. She just doesn't care for the white and thinks I should go black. My burb will be blue with a white top so that will look stupid.

Reading it again it did sound like I had to ask permission to do something to my own burb.

If it was my truck, I wouldn't be able to resist slapping them on there. Kelly will hook us up soon, I'm sure

Okay I will slap them on tomorrow. I have to work a lot this week since I screwed off so much last week. I'm going to have the exhaust and alignment done by Wednesday. Then I'm going to break out the GoPro for some action videos.

The Accuair is power hungry so two batteries may be in my future. The 6.0 has a much better alternator so it may be necessary.

She's not seeing my vision.
This latest round of pics should help convince her. If not, just show her how poor the styling of 338s looks on anything other than a 67-68 swb...

Re: New to me 72 Sub

Personally, I'm disappointed in the caps. I'd probably try to modify a set of dog dish ones to go on it. kind of like what Del did with the centerlines. Still love the wheel and plan on getting a set, just don't care for that particular cap. I talked to Adam about the wheels the other day. He mentioned that they have several different cap options. Would definitely like to see them before I made my cap decision.

Thanks for posting the pic!

My 5 year old daughter just walked by while I was checking out the progress and pointed at the burb and said "I miss that truck".

Nice progress. Nice to see someone putting some time and money into it.
