Thank you for the compliment. The cab has turned out to be the most work. It is all metal now. And just trying to get it finished. It is scary to think about it in hours, then placing a dollar figure on each hour.

I got everything except the back of cab primed. It looks great. I have gotten busy at work, not much time to work on it.

Im sure its been done, and Ive probably looked right at it before, but this is the 1st time ive seen (and noticed) a shaved drip rail, looks pretty good man, you did a good job. You decide on color? Orange also? Seeing that cab next to the chassis really helps put this thing into perspective (1st pic in post 156)

i really like the drip rail but mine was so rusted that it seemed like the best long term thing to do was to remove it. I have came so far but it seems like there is still so much to do.

I dont want to think about what i have in it time or money. As far as the kids go two are boys and they dont want anything to do with it. I really dont want them to. My children are blessed that they are all very smart. They are good kids as well. I hope I have a couple of doctors and couple of scientist in a few years. Maybe they will get paid for using there heads not there shoulders.

It is looking really good! I hear you about your boys. When I have kids, when they grow up I hope they can find a cleaner more profitable profession than mine. LOL

Re: 72' Stepside 2 1/2 Rockwell Pond Truck

Don't you hate when you get to about the point you are at now? You look at how much work you have to do instead of how much you have done. Just looking at your cab pictures reminded me of the half done projects I still need to complete. Keep up the good work. This is going to be an animal for sure!

yo
Yes I have been saying that for a year.I have also been talking about doing my 71' gmc next. What am I getting into? But I do need to get it done for nothing else but the shop space. The 71' is in alot better shape. All the metal work is done on the bed except welding in the new rear cross sill. The cab is in way better shape. And I got a new aftermarket front clip. The doors came off the cab originally and dont have a speck of rust or a dent in them. So it want be no were as much work.
