Cornutz, if they cut your nutz I think Valley could weld you up some improved nutz out of steel. Or, maybe after driving your truck with that frame under it you do not need any nutz, they just assume you have big ones.

Re: Custom Chassis with canti setup

Any thoughts on this relatively simple back half? It would tie into the stock frame rails just under the cab.

And... any suggestions on something a little more lift-capable than bags in the stock locations? I don't know that I need something as complicated as valleycustom is doing here...

Sorry for the delay on responding. I would change the 2x3 rails to 2x4. 2x3 box doesn't look right on a fullsize. It looks to small.

Thanks. It looks like 2x4 is about the same price as well.

Re: Custom Chassis with canti setup

Well today I started on the exhaust. I was able to get most of one side finished. When I start on the other side the two pipes in the middle will goin to create a x over pipe. Enjoy

Dude that is an insult even asking that. J/K No I had to open the frame up so I can get the tubing through. What you see are the welds holding the patch I made to close the DOM back up.h

It has a 1/2" all the way around. That should be enough once I get the hangers installed.

Re: Custom Chassis with canti setup

That looks great. Nice work. I used the same manderals to do my 3". Not as trick though....I only have a 1/4" around the frame to 3" tube and it never hits. I have poly motor mounts and tranny mount so there is not much motor twist.

I wish I could have got a X pipe in there but the H will be alot more doable. It's kinda going to be more of a U because of where the duals are placed right now there is no horizontal connection that could work..

Re: Custom Chassis with canti setup

All I have to ask is; Is there anything you can't do?

I think I couldnt be more amazed after each set of pix you post, but everytime I find myself more amazed! Very nice work! Did you bend all your exhaust or are they pre-bent pieces? If you did it your self what gauge steel did you run?

Re: Custom Chassis with canti setup

LOOKS GOOD! My only question is why not run it straight and go through the frame up ahead rather than make that 90 turn to come through?
