Re: 67 long box
It's turning out real nice, This is my first complete project that I've done all the work myself.
Thanks Derek |

Re: 67 long box
You are going at a breakneck pace compared to most builds on here, I think you are going to be done before May unless you hit a financial roadblock.

Re: 67 long box
Thanks and if I do keep up this pace I will be ready for May or sooner, It gives me time to do a nice job on details at the end. I have most of the stuff for the truck as it was a driver when I bought it . The cost starts to add up quick in the end part of the build though.

Re: 67 long box
Spent a couple of hours in the blast cabinet on my hinges, a bit of paint and brand new. Upgrading the wiring to add a new panel. My dash didn't fair so well in the southern heat, recovering that and the door panels in black and adding black visors. Taking some blue out, add more black and silver.

Re: 67 long box
Been down with migraines again, on average now 5 to 7 a day so not much happening in the shop. I'm going to a new doc. in the new year to see about an electrical implant to try and stop them. Damn headaches are messing up my shop time. I did find the rest of my wiring and it doesn't look to bad. It's hard to concentrate on detailed stuff with a headache. I just keep going and push on, I want a driver not a project waiting to be driven. How can you tell I've a couple of crappy weeks.

Re: 67 long box
Sorry to hear about your headaches! Wiring would be very tough to do with a migrane.
Hopefully the new Doc will help. |

Re: 67 long box
power window and lock relays controlled by momentary push button switches. No rocker switches, something different. Diodes to stop reverse ground flow to relays from alarm output and button to relay trigger.

Nice work! I really like how you are repurposing the voltage regulator

Re: 67 long box
It all fits so far, now the alarm, that's the wires hanging over the column, I just ordered a 400 watt inverter to add 4 usb charge ports and 2 110vac to charge a lap top or use an electric fishing knife. Wiring is the best way to learn patience. I still have to pull it all out to rap it with tape.

Re: 67 long box
New door lock/unlock, power windows and cargo light controls. They trip the ground to close the 85-86 on the relays. These switches are 3amp momentary push button normally open. I might paint the bracket blue to match the dash.

Re: 67 long box
I think I'm done adding to the fuse panel and the relays wired to go to the doors for p/w, p/l.
